Here are some thoughts from people who loved Giles:
Met Giles in the summer of 1975 on the "Minominee Experience" a summer
camp in wisconsin, we were near Wautoma, then out west, he told the
kids stories, sang us songs, and kidded around with us, ( i was a
counselor on the trip) he had a real dry sense of humor that made us
laugh. Always wondered what happened to him, we took him as a real
nice, and caring person, rest his soul.

I attended Shattuck High School in the mid-70's. Giles worked as a
substitute teacher at the time and it was not unusual to see him
wandering the halls just before class time. Whenever he would be
sighted, the hope always was that he would be teaching one of my
classes. If you had Giles Clark as a sub, it meant a full hour of
lively discussions about local history, health food, exercise, or
whatever was on his mind. Of course that meant totally ignoring the
course content. But in those short hours, without even realizing it, I
learned so much more . He was a guaranteed high point of the day. At
the time, I was also an avid cyclist and so was Giles. It was always a
pleasure to run in to him on rides.
What more can I say? For the short time that I knew him, he served as a
role model that influences me to this day. I am sure that he touched
others the same way. Thanks Giles!

You will be missed by many! Thank you for your friendship over the
years. A very kind man has left this earth a better place for having
been part of it!
